Brief: To design vinyl packaging for Sia's music. I designed sleeves for two singles – for which I identified two strong visual elements (leaves and feathers) which held qualities reminiscent of the key themes. I photographed these for use on the sleeves and composed them with scans of typography, distorted by a handheld scanner in order to reflect the theme of broken personality.

Vinyl sleeve for the single ‘Cellophane’ – a song about fragility and isolation.

Vinyl sleeve for the single ‘Dressed In Black’ – a song about isolation, loneliness and negative thoughts.

The vinyl in the inner sleeve on which is printed the song lyrics such that they are partially obscured until the vinyl is removed.

The vinyl in isolation. The design on the vinyl relates directly to the sleeve design, yet the object is separate from the text to allow it to be viewed in a new and refreshing way.
