Brief: To design a cover for a book in the Pocket Penguin series: Young Austerlitz by W. G. Sebald. This involved working with the Penguin brand and cover template, but without limitations on the front design. The book is about a foster child who comes to realise that he has been lied to about his past. My design was inspired by the sense of mystery throughout the story, the visual presence of insects and the idea of being un-ordinary.
